The purpose of this Members' section is twofold : Firstly to provide information on important issues and activities, and secondly to make sure that members' information is correctly reflected in the members list.
Make sure that your personal information is correct in your record - especially regarding your contact info like cell number, adress, qualifications achieved and activities attended.
All members' meetings, shooting days, competitions etc., are automatically updated from the attendance registers by your branch secretary.
If you disagree with the information on your personal profile, please contact your branch secretary to rectify the information. You are personally responsible for your data. Make sure that you supply your branch secretary with proper, verifiable documents to ensure that your Dedicated Hunter status can be legalised.
Please download the PDF file at the bottom of this page (there is an english and an afrikaans version), print out some copies, and take it with on your next hunt. The farmowner or responsible person can then fill it out and sign and you can submit it to your branch secretary as proof of an activity for verification of your Dedicated Hunter status. This status have to be confirmed by BHA at the end of November each year and submitted to Firearms Registry.
Please download the PDF file, print it out, and after filling it out, hand it in at your Branch Members' meeting, together with the Application fees and annual subscription as indicated on the form. (Check the Year Program of the branch nearest to you on the Afrikaans pages of this website). If you cannot attend this meeting, please get two existing members to referr you and then hand in the form at your branch secretary with the applicable money. Prerequisite to qualify as a Dedicated Hunter
It is the duty of every hunter to know the hunting legislation of especially his own province to know what I may and may not do – what game may I hunt under what conditions and when do I need permits and when not. In the PDF file below (at present only in Afrikaans) is a summary of the hunting legislation for the Limpopo province, done for us by Johan van Wyk of Blouberg Nature Reserve.
